Meet Linnca

Hey there! I’m Linnca Stevens, a passionate creative  with a love for all things sewing and fiber! Throughout my career, I’ve immersed myself in the vibrant world of stitching, from designing, to teaching to building community.

My journey in this industry began early, working with companies like Singer Sewing Machine Company, So-Fro Fabrics, and Hancock Fabrics. What started as a job quickly became a calling. Over time, I grew through the ranks to become an award-winning multi-unit District Manager—but more importantly, I discovered the deeper impact sewing can have on people’s lives.

That belief led me to co-found The Sewing Labs, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved individuals through vocational sewing training and apprenticeships. Creating access to sewing education—and watching it build confidence, independence, and opportunity—continues to shape everything I do.

Today, Cloth Continued is my personal creative home. Through it, I offer longarm quilting, workshops, and coaching services for building creative communities.

I believe sewing is more than a skill—it’s a legacy. It’s something to be honored, shared, and passed on to the next generation as a way to build confidence, connection, and community.

Currently, I serve on the Board of the Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival,  bringing together the hearts & hands of  the quilt guild community in Kansas City and the surrounding  region in a festival that showcases hundreds of quilts, educational classes and a marketplace.  This community  celebrates and supports stitchers.

On a personal note, I’m proud to be the wife of an American farmer and a devoted mom and grandma to my amazing family in Missouri. They are my greatest joy, and I find deep contentment in the love of family and the simple, meaningful rhythms and hard work of farm life.

“Quilting isn’t just a hobby for me – it’s my religion.”

“I’d be honored to provide my stitching talent to your quilt. Your quilt is a labor
of love, and I will do my best to craft a cherished heirloom for any home”
